In “NUMC Chair Makes First Move Toward Suing State” (Long Island Press, November 21, 2024), Long Island Press reports on a $1.06 billion Notice of Claim filed with Attorney General Letitia James by Nassau University Medical Center against New York State. The claim alleges that the state illegally withheld federal funding owed to the hospital under the federal Disproportionate Share Hospital program.
