In “Judge Blocks Medicare Advantage Switch for 250K NYC Retirees, Days Before Crucial Deadline” (Gothamist, July 7, 2023), it was reported that that New York Supreme Court Justice Lyle Frank issued a restraining order blocking the city’s attempt to switch 250,000 retired New York City employees to a Medicare Advantage Plan. This decision is the fifth victory in the courts for the retirees.
